A focus on providing dynamic, relevant and common-sense advice that helps families achieve their goals has been the cornerstone of Bob’s career in financial services. Gaining a deep understanding of each client’s situation, feelings, and family dynamics has helped him utilize a consistent, disciplined process to identify realistic strategies that create confident decisions. Building on this foundation, he works with clients to appropriately build wealth, manage it in a risk appropriate and tax efficient way, and create draw down strategies to provide income in retirement. Later, when priorities turn to legacy consideration, he helps clients identify the best ways to benefit the people and causes closest to their hearts.
Since 1984, Bob has served in varied roles as a financial planning practitioner, mentor/coach, and corporate executive. During his tenure, he has affiliated with large firms like TIAA, American Express, and MetLife as well as local North Carolina firms like First Citizens Bank and Fulcrum Financial Advisors. This background has enabled him to understand the importance of consistency in process, alignment of purpose, and diligently monitoring progress. More importantly, it has reinforced the importance of teamwork, strong relationships, and local, personal service that can make a difference in clients’ financial lives.
Bob graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics. He earned his Certified Financial Planner® designation in 2001. He is active in his community through Boy Scouts of America, his church (St. Raphael in Raleigh), and as a volunteer with a local food bank.
Bob and his wife Carol are lifelong Red Sox fans – a passion they have passed on to their twin children, Michael and Katherine.
